Hatfields Group renews Aston Barclay contract to include Digital Solutions roll out

Hatfields Group, one of the UK’s largest independent dealer groups selling Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo, has renewed its remarketing contract with Aston Barclay.

The move sees it commit to a weekly, Friday dealer sales at Aston Barclay’s Prees Heath site for a further 24 months totalling over 5,000 vehicles.

The renewed partnership enables the ‘2018 Jaguar and Land Rover Group of the Year’ to develop a digital journey via Aston Barclay’s Cascade digital solution which ‘connects customers to cars’ through digital and physical remarketing channels.

It will enable Hatfields to optimise its dealer used vehicle journey across all stages of its retail, sourcing and used vehicle disposal process.

“We have been delighted with the results achieved by Aston Barclay to date with our physical auction programme helping speed up the sale of other franchise vehicles,” said Gareth Williams, managing director, Hatfields Group.

“Aston Barclay Prees Heath has helped support the continued growth of our group used car business and we are already taking steps to explore the opportunities presented by its Digital Solutions proposition,” he added.

Neil Hodson, Aston Barclay’s CEO said, “It’s great to build on our strong relationship with Hatfields Group and to look at rolling out a series of joined up digital remarketing initiatives.

“This will give Hatfields one of the most advanced remarketing strategies of any dealer group in the country,” he added.

Hatfields switched from trading in part exchanges to a physical auction strategy with Aston Barclay for the very first time in its 97-year history back in 2017.

Prees Heath has also recently announced new vendor programmes with family owned Pershore Motor Group, Greenhous, Simpsons Skoda and Motor Range, Merseyside’s biggest used car and van supermarket all taking the opportunity to dispose of used vehicles via Aston Barclay’s digital platforms supported by physical fulfilment.
