New weekly Donington sale signals increased focus on LCVs at Aston Barclay

Aston Barclay has extended its used LCV auction programme by launching a dedicated sale at its 18-acre Donington Park site starting on 7 September.

The Monday Donington Park LCV sale adds to weekly sales at Leeds and Westbury and gives Aston Barclay a strategic backbone of sales across the UK.

This coincides with lease and finance vendors growing their LCV portfolios moving over recent years. LCVs comprise in excess of 25% of the majority of Aston Barclay’s vendor fleets and this sales programme expansion matches their changing needs.

The group’s ultimate aim is to launch dedicated LCV sales at all six of its sites over the coming 12 months and the man tasked with delivering this growth is Geoff Flood who has been appointed as Aston Barclay’s first ever national LCV manager.

Geoff has run the dedicated LCV sales at Leeds since early 2019 and grown it into one of the north’s most successful van and pick up sales. Incremental volume from current vendors and new dealer and leasing clients going live means it’s a perfect time to expand Aston Barclay’s LCV sales footprint.

“Our LCV volumes have been growing monthly due to the prices we have been achieving and the service our experienced team have been delivering to vendors and buyers,” explained Flood.

“We have strong buyer relationships that go back 25 years and since our auction programme went online over 250 buyers have been attending our weekly sales. It’s an excellent time to be expanding our LCV sales programme,” he added.
